I promised everyone that I’d be updating my blog while I was here in Japan. And for the first couple of days I did. However it must be clear that this hasn’t been happening as often as I promised it would, and the astute among you likely noticed that some of the posts I did make are no longer present. The reason is thus: there are politics within and between the martial art schools that I train in, just there is everywhere in life. These political fights have no place on the internet, for many reasons. However by posting some innocent pictures and a few unspecific descriptions of my own experience I may have inadvertently created tension and involved people who were not already deeply involved.  So I won’t be updating anything until I’m done training, unless there’s something really non-budo related which I find interesting.
